Herbal Health Bar

The Herbal Health Bar is our first project as a collective, which we launched together with the wonderful people from the Dalston Eastern Curve garden in Dalston, East London.

The Herbal Health Bar project of 2015 consisted of us:

• Transforming the small green house in the garden into an info point, sensory and visual installation all relating around plants, herbs, and herbal medicine.

          And the artist Sophie Mason contributed her wonderful drawings to the project too.

• Organising a Launch Weekend full of workshops and activities, on Saturday 30th May and Sunday 31st May 2015.

• Running free Thursday evening drop-in sessions from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, where we would  do experiential learning and skill and knowledge sharing together in the form of 

          Herb Tastings and Goethean Plant Studies

• Running affordable in-depth Sunday workshops looking at certain ailments and herbs in more depth. The workshops also had a strong practical focus, and thus were a lot of fun where each participant would take home one or two herbal goodies which they have made. We did 4 workshops over the summer, each lasting from 12-5pm, with the following themes:

          Stress in the City

          Diet & Digestion

          Skin & Allergies

          Seasonal Immune Support

At the moment we are working on how to take this project further and maybe transform it into a mobile venture, that we can take to different places.

All in all it was a fabulous project and we learned a lot (and hope you too!).
